Collection Skyscraper Mascara Review

Collection Skyscraper Mascara Review

Today's post is going to be a review of a much talked about mascara from Collection (2000). I've actually been using this mascara for a while and I think it's brilliant! I actually bought this from Poundland after hearing so much about it.

However after the whole 'Stila Fiasco' I was a bit sceptical to use it as apparently the products are really old and discontinued. But, it turns out it was only in Poundland as Collection were re-branding, and needed to get rid of all the stock in order to bring out the new things.

Anyway, this mascara comes in a white rectangular tube with a really simple but effective design on the front. The wand is one of the synthetic plastic ones, which I've personally never tried before - I definitely prefer them to the typical 'brush' wands.

One side of the bristles is longer than the other, and to be honest, I don't know why, but it definitely makes my lashes look longer. I wouldn't say this is a volumising mascara, but it's amazing for length! I don't find this clumpy in any way, and is definitely 'ultra black' as the shade states.

I really recommend this mascara and have been using it religiously for weeks! This is what the mascara looks like on my lashes. This is just one coat, and I naturally have quite long lashes. But it's fair to say - this mascara really does work wonders!

So, if you're looking for a new budget mascara I'd really recommend this one! I'm not sure if you can still buy it in Poundland but I think it's available in Boots or Superdrug for around a fiver.

Have you tried this mascara?
What do you think of it?

Rainbow Bead Creations

Today's post is going to be about an absolutely gorgeous bracelet, I was sent the other day to review....

It's from the company Rainbow Bead Creations. They sell wholesale beads, accessories and lots of different handmade bracelets. They have a variety of  Shamballa bracelets as well as some beautiful 'Pandora style' bracelets.

The bracelet I chose was a pink 'Pandora style' bracelet.

It has 10 beads and one pretty heart shaped charm. It's an amazing quality and definitely really well made! It fits my wrist perfectly, and looks far more expensive than it actually is!

This bracelet retails for around £10, which I think is really good, and certainly doesn't break the bank.

Overall, I really recommend this bracelet and I think It'll be the bracelet I wear everyday! It's so pretty without being over the top.

I've thought about getting an authentic Pandora bracelet but have gone against it due to the price. I'd also be too scared to wear it in case I broke it. I think this bracelet is a brilliant alternative, as I guess you could add some more of your own beads if you wanted to, to make it more personal!

You can buy one of these bracelets on their ebay page, or by sending Louise an email at:          rbcreations@btinternet.com

DIY Shabby Chic Bedside Table!!

DIY Shabby Chic Bedside Table!!

This is going to be a really quick post about a DIY project I've recently completed......

I had an old beside table at home, but I'm not going to lie, it was really ugly! So I decided to add a personal touch to it! After seeing this method on Pinterest and many different home décor blogs I decided to give it a go myself!!

I started off by sanding it all down with some glass paper, until all the corners were ronded and the sides softer. I then painted every part of it with a few coats of a white paint. Next, I added some floral wallpaper to the front of all the shelves, to make it prettier and more feminine!

I think this bedside looks far better now I've decorated it and I'm so pleased with how it has turned out!!

I'll be posting about some more of my DIY projects  in the next couple of weeks!!

Valentines day nail art

Valentines Day Nail Art...

Tomorrow's the 14th of February and I thought I'd get into the spirit with some adorable nail art. I wasn't sure what sort of look to create, without it being too tricky, so I thought I'd go for some cute little hearts.

I started off by painting my nails with Nails Inc Villiers Street, which is a really opaque, shimmery red polish. I used this polish so much over Nailvent, and have loved it ever since. I then used Wet n Wild's French White Crème nail polish and a thin nail art brush to create the little lovehearts.

There are many different combinations to create with this basic look.... Including a white base and a mint green heart. Or a peachy coral nail with a glittery heart... Or perhaps even polka dots with the hearts... The opportunities, well and truly are endless!!
